Blown Up Dana 30 Axle Swap

You've read it on all the forums and Facebook groups, but never seen it yourself so you think it won't happen.  Well here's the picture to prove that your Dana 30 probably won't be happy with you if you're wheeling those meaty 37s.

The customer called and said it finally happened so we got him a Dana Ultimate 44 and got to work.

It is actually a pretty painless swap.  They do all the hard work by setting up the gears and lockers before sending out the axle.  We had to drill a knuckle out for the high steer, but other than that it all swapped in easy cheesy.

All installed and ready for more carnage!
